This is a Messerschmitt 109 - Bf 109, as the initials are after the
company, not the chief designer. Black 6 is famous as at one time is was
the sole flying near-original 109. There is a great book, 'Black 6', that
describes its restoration - well worth buying, unless Waldo has an
electronic version he wishes to post.
